Where have I been?

Running this blog (or any of my social media platforms, really..) has been almost impossible for me. This year has been filled with so much instability and change, it's almost criminal. From moving from New York to Florida, to moving from Fort Myers to Tampa, to having one job to getting two.. man, to say I've been busy is an understatement. 

Slowly but surely, I've been realizing that I miss creating content for this blog, instagram, etc. but not just creating content, but also doing more of what I love as well. I haven't been doing nearly as much freelance makeup as I was last year. 

With that being said.. These last few months of this year will be nothing but prep! I have decided to change my availability around at my jobs and dedicate more time towards doing what I love and improving my skill. Also, there might be another move coming, (I'm thinking Florida might not be the place for me.) but it will be a positive move for my future. 

Look forward to seeing more content from me as I practice and improve my skill. And I will be branching out from just this blog. I will be blooming from all of my other social media platforms as well. Also, expect a new look for this blog as well! It's going to be a rocky finish to this year but it's going to be great and I hope you guys enjoy coming along with me for the ride.

WE MADE HISTORY!!!!!!

Hey everyone!

HOLY COW!! So weird to be writing a blog post right now! I've been MIA for so long! I recently moved to Florida a few months ago and let's just say my life has been eccentric! I was having a hard time being able to commit to my blog wholeheartedly like I wanted to. My blog wasn't my only social media place to have taken damage either. All of my other ones have suffered as well but it's okay because I'm at a place now where I think I can really put forth effort for this. So hello! I'm back! Lol

With that out of the way, let's talk about what I came here to write about..

SAME-SEX MARRIAGE IS  NOW LEGAL!

On June 26, 2015 the Supreme Court ruled by a 5-4 vote that the Constitution guarantees the right of marriage to same-sex couples!.......Aaaaaaand the crowd goes wild!! *cue cheer*

This is monumental! I was in literal tears when I found out! I am so happy to have seen this day. The LGBTQ community has been fighting for equal rights and acceptance for so many years and look where it is today!

MAC #35 Eyelash Dupe!

Hey beauties! 

While I was shopping in Wal-Mart a few days ago, I saw the makeup isle and naturally I went to check out what's new. I fell upon a lash brand names Salon Perfect. I've never used any lashes from them but omg, they had a new style that looks EXACTLY like the MAC #35s! Another similar, yet slightly expensive brand of lashes is from a company called House of Lashes and they have an identical lash that goes by the name of Siren. I posted about these yesterday on my instagram.

The top left eyelashes are the MAC #35s and the top right are the House of Lashes Siren lashes. The also have a pair of lashes called Bambie that are similar. The bottom lashes are the golden beauties I found! They look identical right?! 

The MAC eyelashes retail for $17 each. The House of Lashes Siren & Bambie eyelashes retail for $9 each. The Salon Perfect ones I found are only $3! Go to a Wal-Mart or your local beauty supply that has Salon Perfect lashes and stock up! I wore these for a full day and they were comfortable, lightweight and definitely add drama to your look. 

As long as you take care of them, you can definitely get a good use of them! That's all for today!
